Welcome to Plastic Free July!
The month where we attempt to break up with single-use plastic. Look, we know it’s tough; plastic is like that clingy ex who somehow still has a key to your apartment. It’s everywhere, and we’ve officially had enough of its garbage.
However this month we’re going all in to keep everyone motivated!
To start us off:
🏆 A World Record Attempt:
We’re trying to make history! Join us on JULY 1st for the official World Record attempt for the Plastic Free Pledge. Yes, you can help save the planet in your sweatpants.

Bikini Atoll: Where there are no people, but there are Take-Out Containers!
Andrew Went to the middle of the ocean and the Plastic Was Waiting for Him.
You’d think a remote island that humanity radiated, ruined and restricted would at least be left alone by our grocery bags, right? Wrong!
Andrew went to the middle of the ocean only to spend his trip picking up toothbrushes and takeout containers that floated across the ocean to wash up on the Bikini Atoll. Apparently our trash has zero concept of basic decency. We really need to rethink our trash.
🏆 Create a world record
On Wednesday 1 July, the Plastic Free Foundation is attempting to set a world record for the most people refusing single‑use plastic in a single day.
Sign the pledge, join the history books, and help us prove that humans can actually clean up after themselves!
